Alley leading to our room in the French Quarter
Same alley de-fished. Couldn't get all the way there without losing too much of the image, but close.
I think this is the NOLA court house.
The same de-fished and perspective corrected. Again, couldn't get all the way there but pleasing.
No trip to NOLA is complete without visiting Preservation Jazz Hall.
And a quick de-fish.
Like I said, not the sharpest lens in the kit, but for $100 it's suitable for some things. Probably be next week before I get to exercise the 12-50.

(16,190 posts)including the de-fished ones. I'm been thinking of saving my pennies up for the Zuiko 9-18mm ED. I can understand about it not being totally sharp, I think I read that the 9mm body cap wasn't labeled as an m.Zuiko lens? Not really sure, since I'm still using 4/3.

(14,559 posts)For body cap lens obviously. It can make serviceable images and if you have one of the Pen cameras or the M5 Mk II you can actually focus it using the focus assist mode. The optical construction is surprisingly sophisticated but how much can be done with a body cap?
Back in the film days all I shot were prime lenses in the Pro category but then I worked for Olympus and got some really sweet deals on 'class II' product--repairs, returned stock and the like. Bought an 85 f2 for $35. Ah, the days of wine and roses . . .

(16,190 posts)I'd love to upgrade my camera, but that won't be happening until I straighten my financial situation out and hopefully start making some sales in the online store. Until that time, I'll just shoot my E-30 until the shutter dies.
Edit: nice to see another Texan, I'm down in Corpus Christi.

Corpus is on the short list too. Summer temps are kinda high but the coast has a sea breeze. Sat on a patio at a bar in Panhandle FL overlooking the beech. 100f but completely comfortable.
