This was just as the sun went down and the light on the beach turned pink. I'm so glad you enjoy them!

I'm wondering what makes for these great details. Are you shooting RAW? Or maybe it's the lens and camera combo.

Whatever it is, keep using/doing it!

but I'm still learning to use this camera and the sorts of images that I like. I can shoot raw and jpeg files simultaneously, so I want to start shooting both as soon as I figure out the camera settings.

These .NEF image files were processed with Adobe Lightroom, then edited in Photoshop with the free plug in Nik filters from Google.

Edit-- sorry, I meant to add that the camera is awesome.

I have an old manual Tokina EL 28mm 2.8. It's their economy lens, but It hits above its weight. I'd buy a new Tokina if they made them in MFT, or if I surrender to APS-C.
