the wild northern Humboldt County coast....

For some reason I can never link photos back to my Smugmug site. If you're interested in looking at it, it's http://mcamann.smugmug.com. You can see higher resolution versions of these images. And other ones, too.

These are some recent photos of the North Coast between Arcata and Trinidad. I might have posted an earlier version of the first image-- if so, sorry about that.

The wild Northern Humboldt coast, north of Humboldt Bay, looking south toward McKinleyville over Luffenholtz Beach. Nikon D7200 ISO 100, Tokina 12-28 at 12mm, f/22, 1/80s.

Looking north, toward Trinidad Head. Nikon D7200 ISO 200, Tokina 12-28 at 15mm, f/22, 1/60s.

Another view from just a little further north, facing southwest more-or-less toward McKinleyville. Nikon D7200 ISO 100, Tokina 12-28 at 12mm, f/22, 1/160s.

Finally, another photo facing northwest toward Trinidad Head in the distance. Nikon D7200 ISO 200, Tokina 12-28 at 12mm, f/22, 1/125s.

I hope you enjoy these!

We were just up there but it was pretty foggy. Glad you got some sun to add some variety to your sky!
