Reading a comp on the new OLY EM1 mk II and various other prodcts.

To hell with who is better! The printed image comp STARTS at 20x30 inches @ 6400 iso.

Shit! Kodachome 64 is a real push if you use every last mm of full frame 35 to get an acceptable 16x20!

I've said for a long time that anything over 5 mpxl is braggin' rights for even the above average photographer and twice what a working journalist needs. Yeah, there's a place in the world for full frame digital but then back in the day I carried an OM, an RB67 and a Calumet 4x5! The kit took up most of the back seat in my '65 VW. The tripod alone weighted 30 pounds! 95% of the shots were 35mm because it was the go-to. Now the go-to is my Samsung 'cause that's what I've got 24/7 and it's as good as Kodachrome 64.

We live in a wonderful time with equipment that can out-think most of us. The secret to great images is realizing that cameras don't make pictures, pictures are made in our heads. Cameras only let you put them in front of others to see.

If I wanted to print larger than 16X20, I would have gone APS-C or FF alfredo Nov 2016 #1
