before the 2015 El Nino and the 2016 record breaking rain after over 5 years of droughts. The lake was the size of a large puddle.

They have joined Olivenhain Resevoir with Hodges via a big pipe so the wild fluctuations will be a thing of the past.
Lake Hodges was strictly fed by runoff which is rare for down here. Most lakes are aqueduct pipe attached.
