I had to get some things done uninterrupted so I dressed her for the first time ever in a hand-me-down dog sweater to dress her for her outside crate as colder weather is upon us.This is what she looked like before I put her in it.

(22,380 posts)she was in her crate, just like this, for about an hour --- except she worked her legs into the outfit ----which left her mostly unable to move ---- and in true dog fashion was so happy to see me, knowing her master who handles things has arrived.

(22,380 posts)The crate is large, and has a lock. I don't want her stolen, nor want her to scale the barriers I created to keep her on the porch when I am with her. When I am not with her, she is smart enough to figure ways to scale those barriers. And there are 2 busy roads we live on the corner of, only 30 -40 feet away.

(22,380 posts)13 months old. There is nothing I do that she does not want to help me with.
Some of those things she is better at than I am, others I really need her out of the way. Her energy is boundless. Her speed without equal. And I am not the best dog owner/trainer, and I do lots of different things, so I best be anticipating the problems she could create for me and herself.
Yes.
I keep her indoors all the time, except for the very rare times I don't.

(16,903 posts)That sweater wont help much. We have a JR mix with enormous energy, but I cant see myself putting him outdoors in frigid weather.
