Gotta start with this one because this walk I'm showing you took place on Christmas day. As I feel sure you already know I spent it with mnhtnbb, her dog Snowy and my own dog LolaHow perfect that I found a Christmas tree at the end of the boardwalk
First let me show you my shots of a friend I got to meet in person, Du photographer mnhtnbb, first in repose, and then happily at work (if you can make her out in picture number two)
Please bear with me about the Lola shots! This trip was the highlight of her young life. I have never seen her this happy.
Her hesitant arrival
Her more courageous perusal of the water
Her dodging the waves
Stick with me the subjects will change,
here she turns into my golden girl as the sun sets
I promised some diversity so here a few I enjoyed looking at,
My approach on a solitary walk to the beach
Beautiful flora at the bottom of the walk
Shells on the way to the waters edge
Arriving at the foaming rim of the ocean
And finally, some shots of the sunset from the waters edge
A look back on the very tired walk home - it was a wonderful Christmas day - with DU on our minds since it brought about our original connection.

(32,068 posts)I almost felt the salt spray and almost heard the swoosh of the water.
Love dogs, we took ours up to Lake Erie for her first water encounter last summer.
Very nice, very beautiful photos. Gorgeous sunsets!

(22,380 posts)A marvelous gift when a friendship can develop this way. Thanks for it all.
I enjoyed wishing everyone we met in our wanderings a Merry Christmas and how laid back we were able to be about all of it. Great memories for sure.
