Along Old River Road (Original Post) Adsos Letter Jan 2018 OP
Great photo! It looks like a painting and would be beautiful enlarged and framed. nt procon Jan 2018 #1
Thanks. I don't think it would enlarge well. Adsos Letter Jan 2018 #2
It's beautiful, my dear Adsos Letter! Thank you for sharing it. n/t CaliforniaPeggy Jan 2018 #3

This is also very lovely. The colors do seem a bit more subtle... CaliforniaPeggy Jan 2018 #5

The image gets really mushy in areas when I enlarge it.

I was headed toward the redwoods at Armstrong Grove, but those clouds brought rain and I was reluctant to test my camera’s water resistance.

This photo was taken along the Russian River, in Sonoma County, California.

I think that it looks less heavily processed. I boosted the orange too much in the first one; plus, the overall saturation was too much.

I think you're being too hard on yourself! Both photos are great!

It's warmer and, to me (while not knowing how the scene actually would appear irl), it looks more realistic. The second version looks to me almost like an illustration.

Hard to decide sometimes just how much editing to do.

Right now it's foggy and overcast and there is no definition at all between sea and sky. Can't even tell the ocean is out there!

The clarity/contrast of the vineyards and the tree covered hills and the clouds and the sky is wonderful.

My picture takin' goes in spurts. I'm hoping to spend more time this year in focusing on achieving better results out of the camera, with less processing.

I keep saying that I'm going to do it...
