before the sunrise--clouds look like embers glowing
sun's up!
a yucca bloom on the grounds of the State Capitol
on the grounds of the State Capitol
Capital City Tavern--sitting at the sidewalk tables you can see the State Capitol!
On a path between buildings from one street to another there are hydrangeas in bloom
A bike rack across from the downtown bus station
Mid-day view of the clouds from my balcony.

(31,384 posts)Fits in my pocket and I'm more familiar with it than my phone camera . Snowy has learned to stand still and let me take photos. Have been meaning to try and get some shots of the yucca and watching for the hydrangeas to reach peak bloom. I got ONE shot of the Capital City Tavern before a Sheriff's car pulled up in front of it so there was no point trying to see if I could get the name of the tavern in a same shot with the view towards the Capitol building. I would have been shooting from the middle of the street. Dammit!
We've had lousy overcast and dreary weather for the last week or so. More thunderstorms coming in the next few days. Figured I'd better take advantage of a nice morning with the camera.
