The young Romanian woman who acted as our interpreter ended up becoming a good friend. In 2010 we stayed a few days with her in Martigny, Switzerland, where she lives and works as a doctor. Saw her again this past September, when she joined us for a few days in Nice.

She even came here to California for my youngest daughter’s wedding a couple of years ago. Chance meeting is turning into a lifelong friendship.
