3. I miss being able to walk the beach and listen to the waves. I used to live 8 minutes from

the seashore, now I am 40 minutes away. Thanks for posting this beautiful picture.

It's about 5 minutes to the beach from here...

But then the parking is tough. I was lucky today, being a weekday when most folks are at work.

This is actually the beach at Manhattan Beach, which is a little suburb south of LAX.

Our pier is just one of several on the Santa Monica Bay. Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, and Santa Monica all have piers.

If you look at a fairly detailed map of the area, you can see all these little towns, all lined up right next to one another, all with their particular bragging rights.

It's a beautiful part of the world.
