Ironwork under the Golden Gate, as seen from Fort Point. I took this a couple of years ago with my Canon PowerShot SX200 point-and-shoot.
EDIT: I used Microsoft Digital Image Suite 10 to do the post-processing. I wish I still had that program; it didn't do as much as the Lightroom, Aperture, or Nik software but it was simple to use, and had some nice features (such as an "aged film" pre-set that I really liked).

(19,459 posts)I was really just shooting the underside for interest's sake, not intentionally framing the girders, etc. When I looked at it later I realized I only needed to do some slight cropping to get a nice result, composition wise. I also did some work with contrast and sharpening.

(46,436 posts)The last time we were down there we traipsed all over that park and we probably will again when we go down in September. Back in the late '60s I got in there kind of accidentally and was soon escorted out by some not--too-friendly MPs. Ooops.
