From Bonaire to Barbados to Berlin

The red white and blue not chosen

This was a great theme for the contest this month. Thought it might be fun to share some of the photos I didn't enter.

This first one is a sport fishing boat that was docked in the marina on Bonaire when I was there last March. Its home port was somewhere in Texas!

Flying the Colors at night

This shot was taken from the beach at a resort where my husband and I were staying on Barbados some years ago.

Tropical Red White and Blues

This last shot was taken in the aquarium at the Berlin Zoo when we were visiting our youngest son in 2013 while he was there on a Fulbright Scholarship studying German theater. I thought it would make a challenging jigsaw puzzle.

Especially the top and bottom ones. All most worthy of a DU photo contest.

Btw, where have you not been?

Africa, Middle East, Asia, South America (except for Peru), Australia, South Pacific...lots of places.
The world is a big place. I didn't make my first trip to Europe until I was 34, but after that I was ready to go again whenever I could. And I love the Caribbean, so I've been to quite a few of those islands. Used to say have passport, will travel, but not so much anymore at 68. No plans to see any of the places I mentioned.
