(10,618 posts)I was hoping to find a classic car show somewhere not to far from here by the deadline, but no joy.

(22,380 posts)varied, exciting photos, each one already a winner for different reasons. I can't wait to see more.
Mira
(22,380 posts)and I must say this is utterly intimidating. Each one more astonishing and perfect than the one before. In Blue's photo the area of bright white underneath the bridge makes your eye know exactly what the photo is about in spite of all the other information.
Fabulous work, all, thanks for the eyefuls.

It's a lovely photograph that asks for a number of second looks

(21,236 posts)I ended up not liking my first entry, and I really needed to adjust my entry choice. I'm happy with the changes now, and won't be deleting again.
Meanwhile, there are already so many really great compositions by those of you who actually know what you're doing I only enter because, even with my old point 'n' shoot, I love photography and this is fun.
Thanks all!
Mira
(22,380 posts)and it took guts to enter for the first time. Keep them coming. All my first entries were taken with a very simple point and shoot.
You're in for a good amount of fun. Watching a contest is not the same when you have your own photo in it!
Good luck.
The best win is second place.
