there are 2 towns Neshanic and Neshanic Station (the rail road was in that part of town)
The river empties into the South Branch of the Raritan river at that point.
I took the shot in Flemington not far from the source of the river. Just a few miles up stream, the Neshanic is a tiny creek.

You know what would be cool? A set of 4 season pics photographed at this very same spot. I can just see that lovely set of photos matted and framed and hanging on my living room wall!!

Some of the leaves floating in the river look like they are actually attached to the reflected branches.
