(149,614 posts)Thanks for the great video on the Old Man of the Mountain. I've never been there. And I thought the solution was ingenius!
I've missed good photos too.....but I have quite a few that make me very happy. I'm happy that you enjoy my work.
You're very welcome!

(1,299 posts)The photo does have a faintly hazy historical look, like a well-scanned transparency.

(149,614 posts)This photo is from film. I actually don't remember how old I was when I took this.

(4,999 posts)BTW, We made it up to Paradise (where your photo was taken) for a snowshoe on Tuesday. Glorious, full sun, and extremely deep snowpack this year. Best part -- hardly any people. We went a couple of miles up to where we could hear only the wind, and avalanche falls into the Nisqually glacier. Could see Adams, St. Helens and Mt. Hood too. Just an awesome spring snowshoe

(149,614 posts)It must have been amazing to see all those snowy peaks from your vantage point.

(18,628 posts)haha Just kidding. I like reflecting on old print pix, if that's what that is.
Somebody got a lot of depth there. Was it you?
CaliforniaPeggy
(149,614 posts)It is an old print photo. I did take it, but I don't recall what camera I was using. I just knew I had to get that photo!
I appreciate your compliment very much.

(5,420 posts)I like the swirl of snow (?) at left at treetops.
Nice tight composition.
Just lovely!
CaliforniaPeggy
(149,614 posts)I was a lot younger when I took this and I had no idea about composition or anything like that.
If things looked good to me, then I'd take a photo of it!
George McGovern
(5,420 posts)I'd say you didn't need to know about composition and the rest of it because you already knew what looked good to you. I absolutely love your reply to Johnny Ringo - "I just knew I had to get that photo!"
And you did!!!
