An osprey came to visit. (This one is for elleng).

I have tried for years to get good photographs of the ospreys near me with nothing to show for it. This is amazing!

This photo is clear evidence that I am spending way too much money on camera gear! LOL!

Love the detail, the colors, the shapes, everything.

I especially love the look on the bird's face! It's fierce and very good.

I've seen this critter in the neighborhood before. He will sometimes hang out on top of this tall pine tree. Eventually the crows chase him away.

Funny story... I had just stepped out of the shower when I spotted him on the next street over. I got dressed in thirty seconds and grabbed the camera that I leave set up for birds. This time it all worked out.

I'll try to post some more tonight.

I assume this is a male because he doesn't have much brown on his chest. (The girls usually have a dark "necklace" of brown.)
