Actress & singer Nichelle Nichols was #BornOnThisDay, Dec. 28, 1932. Remembered for her significant role in TV's #StarTrek (1966–'69), & for its later films. In early 2018, Nichols was diagnosed with #dementia, passing last July 30, 2022 (age 89) from heart failure #RIP #BOTD

I'm so thankful that Martin Luther King prevailed upon he to stay on Star Trek TOS.

In the last few months, I saw the term "merged with the universe" used when someone died. That imagery appeals to me, and seems especially appropriate for Ms. Nichols.
