Seriously? If I would have known there was going to be this much bullshit and chatter about invisible sky-wizards i wouldn't have bothered watching this season.
It was almost too much last season with that gormless twit that kept getting sent to redemption island over and over and over again...But this season they really jumped the crucifix..
On the plus side however, there will apparently be no point in watching the show on CBS every Wednesday going forward because according to the mental midgets that are currently playing in a big sand box for $1,000,000.00, everything has been pre-determined by some invisible cloud-being...
Can you imagine if there was this much religious nonsense if they were praying to Allah? The show would be off the air before the season finale...
This shit needs to get nipped in the bud...

(38,187 posts)the way they are claiming God is telling them who to vote for in a damn reality show game is ridiculous. Sure, God is up there keeping up with all these damn reality shows and cares who the fuck wins AND is telling them who to vote for. Ridiculous.
The religious posturing really HAS been over the top this season. I don't even care who wins at this point, because I don't even like any of the ones left in the game. What a wash this season has been.
I hope next season is better, namely that no previous Survivors return and they try to have just one season without overexposing previous Survivors. If we didn't like a Survivor one time, we are not going to like them the next season. For fuck's sake, how many chances are they going to give Survivors from past seasons that could have gone to new players who might keep the show interesting.
Phooey! I wish they would just have an entirely new cast next season and no more of this preachy religious posturing shit. If they were merely religious and did their own thing, it would be one thing, but the way this batch this year has gone about it has made me sick to my stomach. For fuck's sake.

(3,269 posts)I'm tired of the overwrought piety, too. And I sure hope that we never see a Hanz (Hantz?) on the show again, although Brandon's father was set up this season for a rotation on the show, IMO.

(41,832 posts)Coach is using the praying as a way to control Brandon. Maybe even Albert was using it to control him.
I read an interview with Edna just now and she said pretty much the same thing.

(1,946 posts)I really cracked up when Coach hugs Brandon as he leaves and says "It was Gods will". Wow, is that what he'll say if he gets to FTC? All the plays I made were directed by God, so don't be mad at me if I voted you out. Argh.....

(4,338 posts)We watched the latest episode, and it's just gotten to be a one hour prayer club meeting. WTF do these people expect...to win with honour, integrity and without lying?
The game was built around doing the exact opposite.
It pisses me off when idiots like Brandon come in and start spouting how they will play honestly and then get all pissed off when they get lied to, cheated on, talked about and voted off when they least expected.
Have they never watched the show???? Of course they have...the producers have decided delusional personalities are better tv.
Sad really.
If next season even starts with one god reference, I'm done.
That said, I read somewhere(I think on DU) that executive producer Mark Burnett is shopping a Todd Palin reality show, so that might explain how the show has easily taken the god route.
Burnett is a god dude too?
