The parts unknown trip to Peru was great, but my hands down favorite was his trip to Hong Kong in No Reservations.
The part with the last old-fashioned artisanal jook sing noodle cook galloping atop a bamboo poll as he practiced his dying art makes my eyes water each time I see it, simply breathtaking.

I've watched several of his shows. The one that sticks in my mind was the one where he returns to France with his brother. Apparently, they grew up there, so they return to the beach where they played as kids for a picnic. There are abandoned structures from WWII still there and they have a great time. I keep hoping to finally catch the show he filmed in Lebanon a few years back when he and his crew were detained when war broke out...

And thanks so much for the information! I always look through the titles when they show several in a row, but haven't seen it yet...

And I was so glad to see that he's expanded from there since it's always been his travel experiences that were the most interesting. I've spent time in Russia and I was fascinated by his trip there. He experienced one of those steam bath huts, followed by jumping in icy water, then spent half the day waiting for a woman to prepare a special Russian dish, and it turned out he didn't even like it...

When all my shows go on hiatus (which is pretty soon) I'll have to start pulling a few season and watching them. I'm a little biased, I liked the show in Koreatown in Season 1 because I live in Korea. I got a bit of a kick out of the part where he was talking to the Korean-Americans about how strict their parents are because I have seen what Korean parents are like and intense would be a mild way to describe them.
