If you live in Tucson and have not tried their Anti Pasta platter, you are missing out on a rare treat. What I didn't know until yesterday was that Caruso's has a secret menu.
I called to order two platters of their anti pasta for my guest offering at a superbowl party. The menu says that their biggest platter serves four. We know from eating there that it easily serves six so I figured I would order two. The person on the phone told me that they have a platter for twelve but it was not on the menu. I ordered it and blew everybodies socks off at the party. I think I will now be seeing this at most every family gathering.
Just a heads up. If you need a dish for a party, I got major points for this one.
Oh yeah, just so you know, it got devoured. The sauce is to die for!

(8,352 posts)When I lived in Tucson in the early to late 90's, I ate their frequently. I lived in a nice little neighborhood quite close to 4th Avenue. I always enjoyed the pasta fagioli soup and the spinach & cheese ravioli's with the wonderful white garlic & mushroom sauce.
I must admit to taking many a date to Caruso's to impress and woo them during those years.
