Anyone in 94605?

Is your power off?

This is ridiculous. The “low” humidity is 23%, and the “high” winds are 6mph. I guess this can go on for days.

1. Where did PG&E get their degree in shamelessness? Trump U?

First, they undermaintain their lines - which caused the Camp Fire (the worst in the state's recorded history).

And now they overcompensate by shutting power off to millions "just in case."

Can't wait to see what their PR people dream up of next.

3. Our power was off 15 hours before winds started

A PG&E spokesperson said it “takes time” to shut down the grid. But 15 hours is bullshit. We’re in flatlands, btw, and our power lines are buried. One block away the lines are above ground, and yes, the power is on.

6. I bet there's an angle for PG&E bigwigs somewhere

You'll recall that Enron caused the massive brownouts in 2001 in part because every time the power supply to California was choked off to some extent, they'd make a killing buying or shorting futures.

Plus, of course, the giddy pleasure at seeing California suffer due to something being done in Texas.

My guess is that someone in Pg&E is playing the futures game with this - and laughing all the way tot he bank.

7. Oh you just nailed it.

Best guess this morning is,PG&E Power goes Chapter 7. The Parent Company lost 37% value during morning trading.

14. Why, thank you.

With these characters, as you know, the main motive is usually fraud of one kind or another.

No wonder they feel so "represented" by the current White House occupant.

17. The amount of Rate Payer Law Suit's

coming are going to be mind boggling. Just image the Insurance Cancellations that are going to hit as well as special riders to policies for Power Outages.

12. Maybe they're trying to get the state legislature to pass new legislation indeminfying them from

damages for future wildfires involving power line?

15. Probably that as well, sure.

If they can't bribe or cajole, there's always extortion.

No wonder they're so happy with Cheeto. "Finally, someone just like us in the White House!"

I’m in the flatlands, too. We do not have wildfires here.

here in Vegas. Looks like the Intense Low Pressure is starting to move North East.

My freezer is full of pesto and spaghetti sauce I made from veggies in my garden. I don’t want to loose them.

The freezer is chock full. Colder than any cooler could be. I’m just not going to open it until the power comes back on

23. We learned that trick from living in

Rural areas where we would lose power on a daily basis. Kept the Freezer in the Basement or the coldest room in the house. Always kept a old blanker or Canvas on top of it year around. Cheaper than throwing everything out. And if helps with the Cooling operation of the Freezer.

8. It's absolutely infuriating

I was visiting my sister in CT this summer when the power went out in an awful storm. They had it up again in under an hour. Made me realize what crappy service we get here.

weird...and stupid. PG&E is bullshit

11. On Peninsula anything west of I-280 is impacted. It's a cool sunny day, no discernable breeze.

Not sure about Marin and the East Bay. They are playing games, big time.

13. THIS IS PURE CORPOROPATHIC BS

I have no power and am on the leeward side of of the Pacific Coast, north of Monterey Bay, which had some wind, but 5-10 MPH, so no "High Winds". This is a major economic disruption of the rural areas of California! The execs of PG&E and their parent company need to summarily fired, without ANY severance benefits!

Then maybe they’ll put some thought into keeping their equipment from causing fires
