It was 115 where I am today. The record high for this date previously, was 93 degrees.

...texted me a photo of her car's outside temperature display at 111 degrees. An hour or so later, she sent me a new photo: 115 degrees. I wonder what it is there now?

The colors from the diffused light due to smoke is what is really freaky. It is bright pink sunlight in my apt all day...looks like a beautiful sunset but at noon. Our worst fires occurred in 2003 and 2007 at the end of Oct so I expect it to get worse. And we have had 100% of our normal rainfall for several years as well as seasonable, not hot, summer temps. compared to the rest of CA.
