(86,776 posts)I couldn't do anything as I am way far away and can't have pets where I live. But that kept me up last night.. she looks so much like a kitty I loved long ago. I am glad for her, whew.
And thanks to those who end up having her as a new family member, I'm sure they will be amply rewarded with her love and affection! Torties usually live rather long lives, my mom had one who lived to 18, my best friend had one who lived to 20!

(1,301 posts)I have a friend with 4 kitties abandoned in her condo complex. She has been feeding them, but she has 5 indoor cats of her own and she is battling cancer so it's a hardship for her. The neighbors don't like them and are mad she feeds them, and have threatened to take them to the pound.
They are beautiful, sweet kitties. Three seal point hymalyans and one medium hair tortie--she looks a bit like Chloey, only with longer hair. I've called every rescue I can find and they are all full. my husband and I have decided to adopt the female Himalayan. The remaining two are a male bonded pair--one, Pirate, is missing an eye which needs surgical attention, he's the sweetest of all. The tortie is a female and probably needs a one-cat home, as she swats at the others, but is friendly to people. They all need spaying/neutering.
I don't know what to do, but if the organization which helped you could help spread the word, and help find a home I'd be eternally grateful.
Any advice is much appreciated.
