Then they should not let the door hit them in the ass on the way to Las Vegas or wherever the greedy owners are threatening to take them this time.

I have lots of friends and relatives in the Sacramento area and I don't think any of them really give a rats ass about this. They would however object to the public picking up the tab for a private enterprise.

Nor do I live in Sacramento. To make the question larger, no tax dollars should ever be used to build sports arenas. AT&T park in San Francisco was built entirely without tax dollars at a time when the team sucked and attendance was terrible. It can be done.

He has apparently offered the Maloofs a cool $525 million to make Sac a no-team town.

Remember, none of this would have happened had the shifty Clay Bennett not turned the Sonics into the Ardmore, Okla. Duststorm or whatever.

until it looked like the Magoofs were trying to pull a "Major League" on us. I won't miss them in the slightest and will now spend what I would have attending games on local restaurants.

in his zeal to move the team to bigger-bucks San Jose, where he also owns the two top hotels.

It must have driven him stark raving nuts watching them win the division!!

Candlestick park may be OLD but they only play some football games there every year. The GOLDEN STATE basketball team wanted a new place when it had been EXPANDED. Going to bay area sporting events paid for my college education selling beer and hot dogs. I enjoy my sports on TV with fighting the crowds or bad weather. This NORCAL valley dude says "good luck" but don't spend a lot of cash for WHAT???

Remember the KINGS came from where for why???

The city fathers should invest their energy into luring a MLB team to town.

In the meantime, I'll continue to enjoy the the Sacramento River Cats; their stadium is in spitting distance from my home.
