Derek Cressman for CA Secretary of State

Below is a link to a recent video of a candidate for office I'm hoping all my California friends will join me in standing behind. Please join me in supporting Derek Cressman for California Secretary of State.

Derek will push to overturn Supreme Court rulings saying that money is free speech and that corporations have constitutional rights. He believes Corporations aren’t people. As a national reform leader at Common Cause, he crafted ballot measures passed by over 3 out of 4 voters in Los Angeles and San Francisco calling for Congress to reverse Citizens United and ban corporate campaign spending. He's been a tough watchdog for California voters and is by far the most qualified of any candidate running for the office.

check out the video. He's got some other great perspectives, too. What I appreciate about his talk here is that he gives termed out Debra Bowen a lot of credit for what she accomplished.

But she did a lot of good while in office, and we need someone progressive like this guy to pick up where she leaves off.

now Cressman may have a chance. I know that I'm going to look at Cressman with more depth now that Yee (who authored the online voter registration bill) is out of the race. I'm not a big fan of Padilla's, so Cressman will definitely benefit by at least one voter here.
