How do we stop these criminals from doing any more of this?

(247 posts)The map leads one to think the injection wells and their pollution are in the Salinas River watershed.
I looked at PDF attachments describing the injection wells. They seem to be in Kern County, California.
I am confused where all the injection wells and ground water pollution really is located.
I live in San Luis Obispo County and much of our water supply comes from Santa Margarita Lake near the headwaters of the Salinas River.

(2,918 posts)I read through the Daily Kos OP and the map was questioned several times with no response or change.
These sites are in Kern Co.
It's still obscene but maybe a little less so than if it were in SLO Co.

Those aquifers have been taken from us and will never be given back.
And watch how a small token fine, which is an expected cost of business, will be the only restitution anyone gives for eliminating sources of water for the rest of is.
