The Nation Magazine
Dear Friend of the Nation,
The Nation is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2015 with a series of events coast to coast!
We're coming to Los Angeles on April 9 and we hope you'll join us for the West Coast premiere of Oscar-winner Barbara Kopples new documentary film, Hot Type: 150 Years of The Nation, featuring intimate encounters with the writers, columnists, editorsand internswho are both custodians of The Nations enduring values of dissent and stewards of its future.
Taking place at the venerable Hammer Museum, the film will be followed by Q&A with Kopple, writer Amy Wilentz, and Nation editor and publisher Katrina vanden Heuvel. Norman Lear will begin the evening with opening remarks.
This event is free but tickets are required. They'll be available at the box office one hour before the program. Early arrival is strongly recommended. Tickets are available one per person on a first come, first served basis. Overflow seating will be available. Please consider this unique opportunity to come out and celebrate The Nation's legacy, history and traditions.
I hope to see you there!
All best,
Peter Rothberg
