Anyone here remember Three Fisted Lullabye?

They were a folk trio that was active in Boulder in the 80’s and early 90’s. I found a YouTube of one of their albums.

1. No, and I lived in Colorado, not Boulder yet, during the 80s and 90s.

Moved to Boulder County in the early 2000s. Do you like their music?

2. Yeah. I saw them a few times around Boulder when I lived there in the 80's.

The music scene at that time was pretty good.

3. I know. I was living in Denver, Capitol Hill area, during that time.

We had a good music scene, too.

I lived on the same block as the Mercury Cafe for several years. They had some interesting events.

When I think back what amazes me most is how cheap it was to live.

When I moved to Boulder in 1982 I lived in a place on Broadway across from CU. Shared the place with two other guys. We paid $50.00 apiece per month. I could get by really well doing odd jobs.

7. Yes! Most everyone in my bracket--and I was a medical secretary--could afford a place of their own.

I paid $450 a month for a darling apartment in an old Victorian in Capitol Hill, across the alley from the Molly Brown House. My oldest son, an EMT, is almost 27 and is just now renting his own place with two other guys; he could never afford to live by himself. He works hard 40 hours a week and I will still have to help him with grocery money. How far we have fallen.
