They are blooming here too and we're to have 2 nights of hard freezes coming up. I've got my peach trees covered, but I fear that I'll lose plums and cherries (the first bloom year for that tree) and I'm hoping the apple tree won't begin its bloom for a few more days. Gardening in zone 7 is a chancy affair.

Our cherry blossoms are in full bloom around the State Capitol, and it's absolutely gorgeous!

(57,425 posts)It was the anniversary of Roosevelt's death, so I went to that memorial too. Several high school tours were going through at the same time. There were gusts of 30 mph, give or take, so the petals were swirling.
