My doctor is in a large group practice and they have been posting updates on their website. Last week they said they were beginning to contact patients to have them come in and get their shots.

Today I had to go in to see a PA - the toe I stubbed the beginning of November has kind of healed but I am still having pain in the foot above the toe so I needed a referral to get it X-rayed. The waiting room was more crowded than I have ever seen it. It turns out the doctors are giving the vaccinations to their own patients, then have the patients wait for 15-30 minutes before they are allowed to leave. Since there are 20-30 doctors in the group practice with a number of different locations, this spreads out the distribution

I asked if I need to sign up and was told they will contact patients when it is time for their tier to get their vaccination. I am in 1B or 1C so I expect to hear from them fairly soon.

Since their X-ray machines are in the same building as their vaccine clinic for most vaccinations, when I go to have my foot shot, I will drag my husband up to the vaccination clinic and we will get our flu shots.
