Pulse nightclub to hold vigil at 2:02 a.m. on 6-month mark of shooting
A number of vigils are planned Monday {December 12} to mark the six-month anniversary of the massacre at Pulse nightclub that left 49 dead and at least 68 others injured, the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.
The nightclub is hosting two "Remembering Our Angels" events starting with a candlelight vigil and a moment of silence at 2:02 a.m. — the time the shooting started — at the club at 1912 N. Orange Ave.
The fence surrounding the club will open at 1:45 a.m. for guests.
Later, the club will host a ceremony with several church leaders and a performance by the Orlando Gay Chorus. Gates will reopen at 5:30 p.m., and the second memorial will start at 6:15 p.m.
