Fellow Floridians, let's post accurate info here

On GD, I keep seeing posts criticizing those who haven't left ( even if we're not in an evac zone).

Let's post real info here: evac info, gas, supplies, other details.

god bless us everyone!

you're still going to be in Florida even if you've got a few jerrycans of gas with you.

Get out of Florida, my flabby old ass. Just get away from the coast. You'll be fine.

Or use this one and then delete our dumb questions/comments and change the title?

On edit - hadn't seen the well wishes prior to posting this - gah.

The only one I would consider would be Denver.. The rest of I would not want to live there!!
From the locations I guess that monster snow storms are not natural disasters....

Once through Jax, not bad - but somewhat heavy traffic until we turned onto 26 in SC. Lots of crazy drivers - no need to be agressive - not going to get wherever any faster.

You can type in a zip code to either find stations that are open and which ones have gas - or report on open/closed stations and those that have/don't have fuel.

Pipe to water heater broke somewhere. Maybe in the wall. We think under the slab because there was a heck of a lot of sand that blew out with the leak. Kitchen was fine at 9:15pm by 9:45pm it was flooded. Flooded into living room and front hallway before we could get it turned off.

Cannot get a plumber until Tuesday. Will have major restoration work; wall board, wood floor, baseboards. Sigh. But when I think of what others are going through......puts it all in perspective.

Keep thinking what would have happened if we had evacuated yesterday? House would be in total ruin. And we still could get flooded by Irma.

And that was to Orlando from Merritt Island.

Anything, ANYTHING, we who aren't there anymore can do? Please post that, too. I've shipped water to dog sled teams in between here and Whitehorse - I can get things there somehow.

Sending all good karma your way.
