Also, the stats he cited were from the internet - a google search. I mean......please. There are official sources.

Tally DID have the highest crime rate for several years (surprising to most, there). But it has crept down a bit.

Some of that is the college - but a lot of it is poverty and lack of opportunity. (Think South Side).

I lived there for about 15 years and never felt unsafe (had a house and raised my daughter there - we just left about 1.5 years ago). I wasn't fond of it (I'm a New Englander, at heart) but I was fond of our friendly little neighborhood.

And our friendly little neighborhood has one of the highest voting turnouts in the state. ALWAYS.

I can promise that they won't be voting for Desantis in droves

I'd be interested to see how the Tallahassee Democrat views those comments, in the paper today. He has pissed off a lot of democrats in Leon!

When you put 2 universities with a total of 75K college kids in a town of 250K (general estimates on my part), there’ll be crime when young kids do dumb things. And, yes, certain parts of town struggled as well...like everywhere. But overall it’s a wonderful little corner of the state to live in.
