Man allegedly seen kicking, harassing alligator at Florida wildlife trail

A Central Florida couple spotted someone allegedly abusing an alligator.

It allegedly happened on Christmas Day when they saw what appeared to be a man kicking gators along Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive.

Tammy and Keith Lovelle of Volusia County are nature lovers.

The two often go to Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive, which is a one-way, 11-mile drive featuring some of Florida's most famous plants and animals.

At the Circle B Bar reserve south of Lakeland, Florida. Their mother got all huffy about me "telling her kids what to do" so I told her I would be happy to return to the main office and tell the reserve personnel that the kids were harassing wildlife which was illegal in Florida.

As I was walking back towards the offices, the woman and her kids booked it past me and my husband and by the time we got back to the headquarters she was packing the kids into her car and left as quick as she could.

I'm not all that sure that harassing wildlife is illegal, but was willing to lie to stop them from doing it.

It's a good thing they did not piss off this gator who is resident at the Circle B Bar Reserve:
