My wife has been in a virtual queue at the Florida DOE's website for over an hour

waiting to claim two weeks of unemployment compensation. She is more than halfway to the head of the virtual line.

These assholes could fuck up a you know what. The worst part is it's deliberate. Malevolence disguised as incompetence.

UPDATE-She was able to claim one week of benefits (they have switched to bi-weekly payments without warning) and there was written notice saying an issue had been "identified" regarding her claim and benefits would be withheld. No explanation of what that "issue" might be. I bet they work harder on identifying issues than they do paying people. Unrepentant motherfuckers.
