In June, for the Republican Primary, they endorsed Joni Ernst. And now, after all the ads and rhetoric, and her not meeting with them, they come out for Bruce Braley.

(34,661 posts)paper. Along with the big A.M. radio station in Des Moines. The demographics of Iowa haven't changed much in the last twenty plus years, and explains why the likes of King and Grassley. Big time Germanic influence with that said, most are a bit conservative and tight waddie. Yes,the younger folks are being awaken and becoming much more progressive. Got to remember,Harken was returned to the Senate based on the heavy lifting by all the Auto Workers Union,it sure wasn't the Friggin Farm Bureau which BTW,is bigtime Rethug focused.
