Fear and Loathing at the Convention
Democratic Party Convention Delegates entering the Southeast doors had to walk through Republican registration tables to get to the escalator. I was at the top and watched about a dozen ride to second level. Each one would look uncomfortably over the side and behind them at what they had just seen but when they reached the second level and saw the Democratic Party tables and delegates it was like they had found the promised land.
My favorite platform debate moment plank #238: We support closing Guantanamo Bay.
"This says we want to close Guantanamo Bay. We can't close Guantanamo Bay. (the body of water)"
Disappointed at the number of empty seats, the speakers at the convention are the best of the best and I wish every Iowan could attend. And pay attention!
