Colorado marijuana has 'permeated nearly all parts of Kansas,' report from Kansas AG says
Colorado marijuana appears to be replacing marijuana supplies from Mexico and homegrown marijuana, and has permeated nearly all parts of Kansas, the Kansas Attorney Generals Office said Monday.
Derek Schmidts office gathered information from local law enforcement officials and surveyed county and district attorneys, sheriffs and police departments on the topic of marijuana coming from Colorado since that state legalized the drug.
A total of 320 law enforcement agencies and 70 prosecutors offices responded, according to a news release.
Schmidts office said the report indicates Colorados statutory change has led to a sharp increase in the availability of marijuana-laced edibles in Kansas.
