Kamala Harris to visit Detroit for radio town hall
Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris will return to Detroit Tuesday — three weeks before the Nov. 5 election — to participate in a radio town hall with host Charlamagne Tha God.
Charlamagne Tha God's radio show The Breakfast Club announced the event on social media Friday morning.
"I want local voices from Detroit and voices from all the battleground states to get the opportunity to ask Vice President Kamala Harris some questions," the host said. "I know we've got some pressing issues to talk about. The future of the nation is decided by who we elect."
Detroit is Michigan's largest city and a Democratic stronghold. About 78% of the city's population is Black, according to U.S. Census data.
