Until we get serious about assault weapon bans, these are feel good measures. Criminalize the fuck out of AR-15 type weapon ownership (with some time to turn these weapons in) and then we'll make start to make a dent in mass shootings.

handgun that he never should've had because of his history, and he hadn't registered the gun. If these laws had been in force, he wouldn't have had it. You have to start somewhere.
