Drone flies over large waves on Lake Michigan

"Large waves crash into the Grand Haven South Pier outer lighthouse in Grand Haven, Michigan on Monday, Nov. 6, 2023. (Joel Bissell | MLive.com)"

I grew up close to Lake Michigan and I miss days like this. The waves are hypnotic. I wouldn't be surprised if there will be waterspouts over the lake after the cold front passes. They are always fascinating. I like living in Lansing, but I wish I were closer to the lake on wild days like this, sigh.

I grew up about 40 miles away in northern Indiana. It is my happy place and I look forward to next summer. My class 46th reunion is in July and I'm planning to attend. It's been 5 years since I was back 'home' and I have some friends I want to see. Most of my family has left town or the earth so the pull isn't as strong but I love Lake Michigan and plan to spend some time lounging on the beach in St. Joe MI. Thanks for sharing.
