Listening to MPR this morning and they are "discussing" rationals for demanding a faith based POTUS.

Barf. (did the smiley's disappear?)

Among the stupid questions being asked by Carrie Miller (sp?) include "are there any questions reporters shouldn't ask and are their any areas that are off limits? How can anyone who is a reporter (and not a whore for TPTB) even ask that question? WTF?

Kerri Miller and Gary Eichten can't ask a pointed question to save their lives. Cathy Wurzer's whining about the weather drives me up the wall. I could go on, but I won't.

I do enjoy much about MPR News, though I am on a few month sabbatical from them (sticking to Classical 99.5 to clear my head). They are still some of the best hosts on the radio you can find when you travel around and compare other public radio (and non public radio) hosts. MPR News tries and often attempts to rise to the level of the BBC, CBC and ABC.au on the radio and they do much of the time.

But to compare apples to apples, they do much better than US networks, but that is like saying that I am great a highjumping over that 1 foot bar.

For great DJ work I love CKUA in Canada. As for news, AlJazeera, BBC, CBC and others kick their ever loving asses. The one downside of Air America was that many of the best hosts were recruited from MPR and we are stuck with what is left. Kinda like week old, weak, old coffee.

Ask a freakin question dammit. My wife made me turn the radio off this morning because I started frothing at the mouth.

The internet is the only way to go these days for info and that is only if you can identify BS by looking at it or asking for deconstruction of the fishy stuff at places like DU.

However, I still like the other shows that some of the public radio shows do.... I guess it's a mixed bag. Hate the political reporting and like other stuff.

Mostly, he even behaves like an actual Christian, which is more than I can say for most of the GOP candidates.

I think it would be virtually impossible for anyone to get elected to the Presidency without declaring his "faith in God." Every speech must end with "God bless the United States," too, it seems.

I don't like that, but it's a fact that I haven't seen violated yet.

I know because my 14 year old Rush listening, private school educated niece told me she doesn't believe in it.

After I stopped laughing out loud at her we discussed stuff like evidence. My thoughts on the exchange afterwards ran along the lines of "FUCK! they're breeding...."
