5 Favorite Minnesota Foods Taste Tested By Californians

We asked these Californians who'd just finished their morning gluten-free-quinoa-avocado-paleo-yoga smoothies to give five famous Minnesota foods a try. We knew there would be mixed reviews, but we didn't expect them to be quite so extreme—or half as hilarious.

I'm with them on the ambrosia and the lutefisk (though, to be honest, I've never even had an opportunity to try lutefisk, since I'm not from a Scandinavian background).

1. Lutefisk is not a "favorite" Minnesota food.

I tried it. Once. Had the same reaction they did!

tried lutefisk as I spent 3 years in Rochester, MN.

Lutefisk isn't too bad if you put enough butter on it. I mean a lot of butter.
