More than 100 people attended the city's first forum, including about 10 who identified themselves for openly flying the Confederate flag. The Winona Daily News reported that Jacob Moore told the crowd he identified the flag with a "blue-collar lifestyle" that includes hunting, fishing and driving trucks — but admitted afterward to feeling some remorse after learning how it was viewed by others ...
