Questions raised after Lakeland mayor sets up his own 'city' website

The city of Lakelandís website features charming photos of the St. Croix River community as well as links to pay bills and details on what City Council is up to.

But wait, there is another Lakeland website that has photos of its historic City Hall. And city documents. And links to pay bills.

The first one is run by the city. The second one was set up by Mayor Dick Glasgow.

A group of residents and at least one city council member say the dueling sites create confusion. The official site hasnít gotten updates of its video collection of meetings all year, but the mayorís has. And the mayorís site lists April 23 as the next meeting date; itís supposed to be Tuesday, April 16.
