20 Month old girl missing - Maine

http://bangordailynews.com/2011/12/17/news/waterville/waterville-police-searching-for-missing-20-month-old-girl/

WATERVILLE, Maine — Police in Waterville plan to give an update on their investigation into the disappearance and possible abduction of a 20-month-old girl from her home.

Ayla Reynolds’ father called police to report that his daughter was not in her bed Saturday morning and couldn’t be found. She was last seen sleeping at about 10 p.m. Friday by a family member. Authorities conducted a search of the neighborhood.

Waterville police were not identifying the child’s parents, who are living separately. No new information was being released in advance of the news conference.

Police say Ayla was last seen wearing pajamas with polka dots with the words “Daddy’s Princess” on them.

I wonder what the custody status of the child is.

Family drama and divorce and multiple adults in the home suggest that this was an inside job. This kind of story usually doesn't end well.
