Advocates lobby for bill giving access to condoms

ALBANY — Advocates are holding a panel on legislation that would prevent police from using condoms as evidence of prostitution.

The Access for Condoms Coalition and New York Civil Liberties Union plan a “teach-in” in Albany to discuss the bill and its health implications.

Under current law police and prosecutors can use the possession of condoms as evidence of prostitution-related offenses.


IMO: The current law is absurd.
