De Blasio administration continues Bloomberg-era graphic ads about hazards of sugary drinks

Mayor Michael Bloomberg is gone, but his shock ads warning about obesity endure.

The graphic advertisements, which show grisly images of how consuming sugary drinks can lead to diabetes, obesity and heart disease, are playing on television, nearly five full months after the health-conscious Bloomberg left office.

A version of the ads is also being displayed in subway cars.

One of the ads -- which imagines a person’s internal organs encased in fat -- was broadcast during the Brooklyn Nets’ final home playoff game against the Miami Heat on May 12.

that is considered healthy use. Sugar above a certain level IS poison..and causes inflammation throughout the body even for non-diabetics...Sugary drinks like sodas and fruit juices are a huge part of that problem...
