Pols pitch Brooklyn (and airport hotels) in play for '16 Democratic National Convention

The city's Congressional delegation is doing the whole no-sleep-'til-Brooklyn thing when it comes to the 2016 Democratic National Convention.
Sens. Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, along with Reps. Jerrold Nadler, Carolyn Maloney, Nydia Velazquez, Yvette Clarke and Hakeem Jeffries, sent DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz a rah-rah letter Wednesday, particularly playing up the charms of Brooklyn's new Barclays Center.
Mayor de Blasio earlier this month submitted a formal proposal to host the convention in his beloved home borough. The national party will make a pick late this year or early next between New York and five other cities: Birmingham, Ala.; Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio; Philadelphia, and Phoenix.
But Brooklyn's got it all, the locals say
